3D snowflake

How to make a 3D snowflake!

You will need:
6 perfect square pieces of paper (for this one I used a 2 sided wrapping paper)
   tape, glue, or a stapler
   scissors

Step 1: Fold each of the 6 pieces of paper in half, diagonally. If the paper you are using does not make a perfect triangle, cut off the rectangular edge that sticks out and make it align perfectly. You should end up with a square folded into a triangle. Fold the triangle in half, noting where the folded "bottom" of the triangle is

Step 2: Cut 3 lines in the triangle. Position the scissors along the bottom fold, and parallel to one of the edges going up to the top (your cuts should be somewhat diagonal). Cut almost all the way up to one of the side edges, but not quite. Keep about the same distance between each cut.
Step 3: Unfold the triangle. Turn it so that one of the points of the square faces you. It should look like the picture.
Step 4: Keeping your paper diamond side-up, roll the first two innermost paper lines together to form a tube. Tape these two pieces together. You should see triangle shapes on each side of the roll
Step 5: Turn the diamond over to the other side. Take the next two paper lines and pull them together on the opposite side of the tube and tape together as before. This will be a more rounded shape and wider than the first tube
Step 6: Keep turning the paper and joining the paper lines together on opposite side in the same fashion until all paper lines have been joined.
Step 6: Repeat Steps 3 - 7 with the remaining 5 pieces of paper
Step 7: Join 3 of the completed rolled pieces together at one end and staple together using the other hand. Do the other 3 pieces the same way. Now you will have 2 pieces consisting of 3 strands or "arms" each. (For smaller snowflakes, it may be easier to use double-sided tape or white glue in place of staples.) DO NOT fan them in a circle it doesn't work I tried. you want to do 2 sets of three and join them in the middle

Step 8: Staple the two new pieces together in the middle, or Glue them.
Staple or glue where each of the 6 arms meet. This ensures that the snowflake shape is pulled into place.

Make them as big or small as u want !

Treat for Teacher!

                                                                Treat for Teacher!

Teachers deserve so much for all they do for our kids! here is a nice way to show your kids teacher you care. I took 2 bottles and cut the bottoms off. I cut out some red paper crinkled it up and stuck it inside the bottle ends with some easter chocolates. I stuck a brown pipe cleaner threw the top and made some leaves to attach. glued it together with a piece of red paper. so now its a Easter treat for a teacher as sweet!

u can make other round fruits too. Hailie (my daughter) made a peach one for her councilor who prefers peaches over apples !

Family Project

                                                  Cute Family Project!

this is just a cute little project I made!
Fist I traced all the hands in my family starting with the oldest to the youngest. then I made sure to erase the lines inside each of the younger ones. I lined each hand with a different color yarn! I used each persons favorite color! I glued it to cardboard that I fist covered in white paper. then I coated the whole thing in glue to seal it. then I added glitter ! punched wholes and hung it up.

                                                               Halloween Candel Holder!

i made about 20 of these for my baby shower ! our theme is Lil pumpkin!
first i picked up some supplies from the dollar store!

Glass candel holders
tealights
tissue paper
elmers glue

I cut out some orange tissue paper into strips about an inch thick and a little longer then the bowl itself.
I applyed glue to the surface of the bowl and then gentley applyed the tissue paper onto it.
I coated the tissue paper in a layer of glue.

I continued to do that untill the whole bowl was coverd in orange strips.

I trimed off the extra length off the top and set it aside to dry.
While it was dryin i cut out a jack o latern face out of some black tissue paper
usein the same process as the strips, i applyed the face and a green strip around the very top.
I then set it aside to dry again !
This is how it looks with a candel in it

I also made some oppisite ones !

I made these for my baby shower and filled them with treats and handed them out to each guest ! all in all it only costs about 1.10$ ech ! oh the things u can do from the doller store !!
